Although we were “blessed “ with a rainy week end, only the parade succumbed to the weather.

Friday night family night and fireworks were AWESOME.
|
|
|
Saturday the Fishing and Golf Tournaments were held proving that Fishermen and Golfers are a hardy bunch, especially when there is money on the line!
|
|
|
The Parade was canceled. However, that did not deter our 94 year old Grand Marshall, Pearl Hanse. She got into her granddaughter’s Suburban and drove around town waving and throwing candy. Later when the rain stopped, the CLASS of 1960 pulled out their float and paraded around town.

|
Both medallions were found by young people. The silver one was found in the morning, but it was mid afternoon before the gold medallion was found.

|
|
The Saturday evening community supper and street dance was immensely successful. The rain stopped and EVERYONE showed up. The SHAKERS out of Fargo were a a great hit.
|
|
|
Sunday morning, the rains came again so the community church service and potluck picnic was held indoors at Trinity Lutheran Church.
|
|
|
The sky dried up and the afternoon was perfect. There was a good crowd at ROCK and ROLL Wrestling at the Lariat Bar and an equally large crowd at the Antique Tractor Pull.
